Congratulations to Gary & Lion Kevin! They are the Nicollet Lions newest Melvin Jones Fellowships awarded December 18, 2006 by 5M2 District Governor Mike Vos & Club president Joan Blank.

The Nicollet Lions honored non-member Gary Schmidt for his outstanding service to the Nicollet community, including the recent Nicollet Sesquicentennial. Lion Kevin Blank is past president of the Nicollet Lions Club and serving his second term as Zone 4 chairperson.

The Nicollet Lions also presented three Helen Keller Awards to Lions Roger Kastens, Howard Swenson and Bernie Laven for their many years of service to the Nicollet Lions Club and for their contribution towards raising funds for the Minnesota Eye Bank.

Multiple District 5M Lions Tour - March 31, 2007

Walt & Kris Hanish were 2 of the 7 attending the Eye Bank Tour. To the right is the Helen Keller Recognition board (in the center of the wall above) to which the Nicollet Lions made a generous donation. The wall contains the names of all the Helen Keller Awards from District 5M. Also attending the tour, Claus & Diane Peukert, Ivan & Janine Enter and Lori Olson. All agreed it was an excellent experience!
